"URN", "Company", "we", "us" refers to Utkarsh Research Network, a sole proprietorship registered under MSME/Udyam (Government of India), recognized by Startup India (DPIIT), and certified under ISO 9001:2015, with its registered office at Duplex B-174, Dream Villa, Barang, Cuttack, Odisha 751023.
"Client", "you", "your" refers to any individual, institution, or organization that engages our services, registers for training programs, purchases memberships, or uses our website.
"Services" refers to all research support services including but not limited to systematic reviews, meta-analyses, statistical analysis, publication support, thesis guidance, training programs (FDP/SDP/workshops), data collection, manuscript editing, grant writing, and consultation.
"Deliverables" refers to all outputs produced by URN including manuscripts, statistical reports, data files, presentations, certificates, and any other work product.
2.1. Our services are available to individuals aged 18 years and above. Minors may engage services through a legal guardian.
2.2. Institutional clients must ensure that the person placing the order has the authority to bind the institution to these terms.
2.3. By engaging our services, you represent that: (a) you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement; (b) the research topic and data you provide do not infringe upon any third-party rights; (c) you have obtained all necessary approvals (ethical clearance, institutional permission) for your research.
3.1. All service engagements begin with a consultation (free or paid) to assess requirements and feasibility.
3.2. Upon mutual agreement, a written Scope of Work (SOW) will be shared via email, specifying: deliverables, timeline, milestones, revision policy, and total cost.
3.3. Prices displayed on the website represent starting prices. Actual costs may vary based on project complexity, number of databases, statistical methods required, journal target, and urgency.
3.4. Any changes to the agreed scope must be communicated in writing and may result in revised pricing and timeline.
3.5. URN reserves the right to decline any project that conflicts with ethical research standards, violates institutional policies, or falls outside our area of expertise.
4.1. Payments are processed securely through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway. We accept UPI, debit cards, credit cards, net banking, and digital wallets.
4.2. For projects above ₹10,000, payment may be structured in milestones: (a) 50% advance at project initiation; (b) 50% upon delivery of final deliverables. Custom payment schedules may be agreed upon for institutional clients.
4.3. For training programs and workshops, full payment is required at the time of registration unless otherwise agreed for institutional bulk bookings.
4.4. Memberships are billed annually and are non-prorated.
4.5. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). Applicable GST (18%) will be charged separately where applicable. GST invoices will be provided upon request.
4.6. Failure to make timely payments may result in suspension of work until payment is received.
5.1. Upon full payment, all deliverables produced by URN for a specific client project become the intellectual property of the client.
5.2. URN retains the right to use anonymized, non-identifiable methodological aspects of the work for: (a) internal training and quality improvement; (b) case studies for promotional purposes (with client consent); (c) academic publications where the client is not identifiable.
5.3. URN does not claim authorship rights on client publications unless co-authorship is mutually agreed upon in writing prior to project commencement.
5.4. Clients are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of deliverables complies with their institution's academic integrity policies and relevant journal guidelines.
6.1. All client information, research data, manuscripts, and project details are treated as strictly confidential.
6.2. We do not share, sell, lease, or disclose client data to any third party without explicit written consent, except where required by law.
6.3. Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are available upon request at no additional cost.
6.4. Client data is stored on secure servers with access limited to authorized project team members only.
6.5. Upon project completion, client data is retained for a maximum of 24 months for quality assurance purposes, after which it is securely deleted. Clients may request earlier deletion at any time.
7.1. URN operates as a research support and consultancy service. Our deliverables are intended to assist, guide, and support clients in their research process.
7.2. We adhere to the principles of responsible research as outlined by ICMJE, COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), and the Declaration of Helsinki.
7.3. Clients acknowledge that: (a) they are responsible for the final academic use of our deliverables; (b) our services do not constitute ghostwriting; (c) they will appropriately acknowledge any assistance received in their publications as per their institutional and journal requirements.
7.4. URN will not knowingly assist in fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism. All deliverables are original works and include plagiarism reports where applicable.
8.1. All deliverables undergo internal quality review before submission to the client.
8.2. Each service package includes a defined number of revisions as specified in the SOW (typically 2–3 rounds).
8.3. Revision requests must be submitted within 30 days of deliverable submission with specific, actionable feedback.
8.4. Revisions outside the original scope (e.g., additional analyses, new research questions, change of target journal) may incur additional charges.
9.1. While we strive for the highest quality, URN does not guarantee: journal acceptance, thesis/dissertation approval, grant success, ethical clearance, or any specific academic outcome.
9.2. Research outcomes depend on multiple factors beyond our control, including journal editorial decisions, peer review, institutional policies, and data quality.
9.3. URN's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.
9.4. URN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.
10.1. Training program schedules, content, and faculty are subject to change. URN will notify registered participants of any material changes in advance.
10.2. Certificates of completion are issued to participants who attend a minimum of 80% of the program sessions.
10.3. Participants may not record, reproduce, or distribute training materials without prior written consent from URN.
10.4. For institutional FDP/SDP bookings, a minimum batch size of 15 participants is required. Custom pricing applies for larger batches.
Cancellation and refund terms are governed by our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy.
URN shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government regulations, internet outages, or acts of God. In such cases, timelines will be extended accordingly.
13.1. Any disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
13.2. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed mutually by both parties, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
13.3. The seat of arbitration shall be Cuttack, Odisha, India, and the proceedings shall be conducted in English.
13.4. These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause above, the courts of Cuttack, Odisha shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
URN reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance. Active clients will be notified of significant changes via email.
