Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope
This policy applies to all purchases made through our website, payment links, or Razorpay payment buttons for: (a) Research support service packages; (b) Training programs, workshops, FDPs, and SDPs; (c) Membership plans; (d) Consultation sessions; (e) Any other paid offering by Utkarsh Research Network.
2. Research Support Service Packages
Includes: Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis, Statistical Analysis, Q1 Journal Publication Support, Thesis Guidance, Data Collection, Grant Writing, Manuscript Editing.

3. Training Programs & Workshops (FDP, SDP, Workshops)

Event cancellation by URN: If URN cancels or postpones an event, registered participants will receive a full 100% refund or the option to attend the rescheduled event at no additional cost.
4. Membership Plans

5. Consultation Sessions

Free consultation sessions: Free 30-minute consultations can be rescheduled or cancelled at any time without penalty.
6. How to Request a Refund
To initiate a refund request:
- Send an email to info@utkarshresearchnetwork.in with subject line: "Refund Request — [Your Name]"
- Include the following details:
- Full name and email used during purchase
- Razorpay Order ID or Payment ID (from your payment confirmation email)
- Service/program name and date of purchase
- Reason for the refund request
- Our team will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and provide a resolution within 5 business days.
7. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days from the date of approval.
- Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used during purchase (UPI, card, net banking, or wallet).
- Razorpay payment gateway processing fees (typically 2% + GST) are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount where applicable.
- Refunds for international payments may take up to 15 business days due to bank processing times.
- You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated.
8. Quality Guarantee & Revision Policy
We stand behind the quality of our deliverables. Before requesting a refund for quality concerns:
- Notify us within 14 days of receiving the deliverable, specifying the areas of concern with clear, actionable feedback.
- Our team will review the concern against the agreed Scope of Work (SOW).
- If the deliverable does not meet the agreed specifications: We will provide corrections/revisions at no additional cost within the revision limits specified in your SOW.
- If revisions do not resolve the issue: A partial refund may be offered, calculated based on the unresolved portion of work.
- If the deliverable meets the agreed specifications: No refund will be issued, but additional revisions may be available at a discounted rate.
Quality disputes will be assessed by an independent internal reviewer to ensure fair resolution.
9. Non-Refundable Items
- Payment gateway processing fees
- Work already completed, delivered, and approved by the client
- Certificates of completion (once issued)
- Administrative and handling fees where specified
- Third-party costs incurred on the client's behalf (e.g., journal submission fees, software licenses, PROSPERO registration fees)
10. Cancellation by URN
URN reserves the right to cancel a service engagement if:
- The project is found to violate research ethics, academic integrity, or legal requirements
- The client provides false or misleading information
- Payment obligations are not met after two written reminders
- The client is unresponsive for more than 30 consecutive days during an active project
In such cases, a prorated refund will be provided for any undelivered work, minus costs already incurred.
11. Force Majeure
In case of events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, prolonged internet/power outages, war, or civil unrest) that prevent service delivery:
- Project timelines will be extended by the duration of the force majeure event
- Training programs will be rescheduled, with participants offered full credit for a future date
- Full refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis if rescheduling is not feasible
12. Dispute Escalation
If you are not satisfied with a refund decision:
- First escalation: Email info@utkarshresearchnetwork.in with subject "Refund Dispute — [Your Name]". Response within 5 business days.
- Second escalation: Write to the Founder, Dr. Paramjot Panda, at the same email. Response within 7 business days.
- Final resolution: If unresolved, the matter shall be referred to arbitration as per the Terms & Conditions (Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996; seat: Cuttack, Odisha).
13. Amendments
URN reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. The "Last Reviewed" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Active clients will be notified of significant changes via email. The policy applicable at the time of purchase will govern that specific transaction.
