Founder & Growth Catalyst | Public Health Researcher | Evidence-Synthesis Expert
During his early research career, Dr. Panda witnessed firsthand how faculty and postgraduates in tier-2 and tier-3 cities struggled to access quality research methodology guidance. The gap between wanting to publish and knowing how to publish was vast — and he decided to bridge it.
What started as one-on-one mentoring sessions grew into Utkarsh Research Network — an ISO 9001:2015 certified, Startup India recognized enterprise that now supports researchers across 20+ institutions. From systematic reviews to Q1 journal publications, URN became a one-stop research support ecosystem.
Today, Dr. Panda is a Cochrane Collaborator, a contributor to the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study published in The Lancet, and a member of the Indian Public Health Association. His work spans evidence synthesis, health policy, and capacity building in LMICs.
Hands-on training programs and research workshops at leading universities
Millions of papers are published every year — but most never reach the people who need them most.
Yet the majority are never synthesized into actionable clinical evidence.
In LMICs like India, this gap between research and practice is even wider.
Without systematic reviews, unreliable findings go unchallenged.
Systematic reviews bring together findings from hundreds of individual studies, filter out bias, and deliver actionable insights that shape clinical guidelines, health policies, and treatment protocols.
At URN, we don't just conduct systematic reviews — we train the next generation of evidence synthesizers. Every review we produce follows PRISMA 2020 guidelines, uses Cochrane methodology, and is designed to make a real-world impact on patient care and public health policy.
Our rigorous 5-step methodology
India produces the third-highest number of research publications globally — yet most researchers in medical colleges, dental schools, and nursing institutions lack access to structured training in research methodology, biostatistics, and publication skills.
Mission 100K is our commitment to bridge this gap. Through university partnerships, online workshops, self-paced learning tools, and our open-access journal UJHSE, we aim to train and support 100,000 researchers across India by 2030.

For researchers, clinicians, and academics — a Q1 publication is more than a paper. It's a career milestone.
Q1 publications are the top criteria for promotions, tenure, and academic appointments in medical and health science institutions across India.
Funding agencies like ICMR, DST, and DBT prioritize researchers with a proven track record of publishing in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
A Q1 publication puts your research on the global stage — indexed in PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, cited by researchers worldwide.
High-quality publications inform clinical guidelines, shape health policy, and ultimately improve patient outcomes — the true purpose of research.
URN's Track Record: 50+ publications including in The Lancet, Pharmaceutics (IF: 5.4), and top Scopus journals.

Structured, hands-on training designed to empower researchers at every level — from postgraduate students to senior faculty — with the skills they need to publish, analyze, and lead.
Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and Student Development Programs (SDP) are structured workshops tailored for faculty members and postgraduate students in medical, dental, nursing, and allied health institutions. These programs bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world research execution.
Building a strong research culture in health institutions is critical for evidence-based practice, career advancement, and institutional ranking. FDP/SDP programs equip participants with practical tools to design studies, analyze data, and publish in indexed journals.
We evaluate institutional goals, participant skill levels, and desired outcomes.
Modules are tailored to the audience — from basics to advanced biostatistics.
Interactive workshops with live datasets, software demos, and writing exercises.
Continued mentoring, doubt-clearing sessions, and manuscript guidance.
Our programs are rooted in Cochrane methodology, delivered by an ISO 9001:2015 certified team, and built around real-world projects. We offer personalized batches (max 30 participants) to ensure every attendee gets individual attention and walks away with tangible skills.

“URN guided our department through a complete systematic review and meta-analysis. The PRISMA compliance, statistical rigor, and manuscript quality were outstanding. We published in a Q2 Scopus journal on the first submission.”
“The Student Development Program transformed how I approach research. The biostatistics sessions using SPSS were incredibly hands-on. I was able to complete my thesis analysis independently after just 3 days of training.”
“We organized a Faculty Development Program through URN for our college. The 5-day workshop on research methodology, statistical software, and publication ethics was exactly what our faculty needed. Highly structured and practical.”
“The data collection and management service saved my PhD timeline. They set up KoboToolbox, trained my field team, and handled the entire data cleaning process. Professional and dependable throughout.”
“I used URN for the Q1 journal publication support package. From statistical analysis to manuscript writing and peer review responses — they were with me through three revision rounds until acceptance. Absolutely worth the investment.”
“The publication writing workshop was eye-opening. Learning IMRAD structure, journal selection strategy, and how to respond to reviewer comments in one intensive session — practical knowledge I use every week now.”
