Does Kavach replace 112, the police or an ambulance?
No — and we never claim to. Kavach instantly alerts the family and your desk with the location; the person at the scene places the 112 call themselves. There is no public system in India to dispatch police or an ambulance through an app, so no honest service can promise that.
Is the owner's phone number ever shown to whoever scans the tag?
Never — on either side. The person scanning only sees a help screen and can send an alert. The owner and the responder never see each other's numbers.
Does anyone need to install an app?
No. The person scanning just points their phone camera at the tag — no app, no sign-up. Owners and your institution manage everything on an ordinary web page; nothing to download or update.
What exactly does the family receive?
A WhatsApp and email alert: that the vehicle was scanned, the helper's typed note, a live-location map pin, and (if the owner added it) blood group, allergies and conditions — with a clear line that Kavach never asks for money.
Someone could misuse a public sticker. How do you stop spam or scams?
Several layers. Every typed note is automatically scrubbed of links, phone numbers, UPI IDs and payment-bait before it is sent; every alert carries an "unverified — we never ask for money" banner; rapid repeat scans collapse into a single alert; and the owner (or your admin) can block a sender in one tap. Misuse is logged and shows up flagged in the dashboard.
Does the person scanning have to share their location?
Yes — to send an alert, they must share location, because its whole value is telling the family where the vehicle is. Calling 112 needs no location and always works, so a genuine emergency is never blocked.
How does this sit with privacy and the DPDP Act?
Owners give explicit consent, control their own data and can erase it at any time. Data is encrypted and India-hosted, with a named grievance officer. Your institution never sees residents' personal numbers or health details — only safety activity.
What does the institution actually see on its dashboard?
A private, read-only link showing your tags, scan and alert activity, where scans happened, and any flagged or blocked senders — plus your public "Kavach Protected" badge. No owner phone numbers, ever.
How long does rollout take?
A society is usually tagged in a single weekend desk drive. A fleet or school goes live as fast as you can share the vehicle list — tags ship to you and activate immediately.
What if a tag is damaged, or a vehicle is sold?
Free replacement in the first year. Report a lost tag and it is disabled so it cannot be misused, while the vehicle gets a fresh one. For fleets, you can reassign a vehicle in the dashboard — the tag stays, no reprinting.
Can tags carry our own logo?
Yes. Fleets and schools can have co-branded tags with your logo alongside Kavach.
How is it billed? Do you give a GST invoice? Can we cancel?
Pricing is per the segment shown above, and a GST invoice is provided. Recurring plans can be cancelled anytime, and a lapsed plan gracefully degrades to core safety — the tag never dies. We don't take any advance for a pilot.
Which languages does the help screen support?
English and Hindi today, auto-detected from the responder's phone. More Indian languages are rolling out.
What if there is no internet, or the scan does not work?
The printed tag always shows the 112 number (and a fallback number), so help can still be called even if a phone is offline.
For schools — what about student and parent data?
Bus tags work like fleet tags. Optional student tags are opt-in and fully parent-controlled; a child's home address is never shown — only that they belong to your school and who to alert.
How do we see it before deciding?
Book a free demo (the form below, or WhatsApp). We bring real tags to your gate, depot or school, run a live scan with your team, and set up your dashboard — no cost, no commitment.
