Privacy & Data Protection

Your number is never shown to people who scan your tag

Kavach is a vehicle safety service operated by Utkarsh Research Network (Dr. Paramjot Panda). It lets a bystander reach a vehicle owner or their emergency contacts during a parking issue or an emergency — without ever revealing the owner's phone number.

What we collect

From vehicle owners (with your consent, at registration): your name, email, phone number, vehicle details, and any emergency contacts or optional medical information you choose to add.

From people who scan a tag: only what you choose to send — an optional message and callback number, and your location only if you tap "Share my location." We also record basic technical details (a one-way hashed IP address, browser type, and timestamp) purely to prevent misuse.

Why we use it

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Scan and location records are kept only as long as needed for safety and audit, then deleted. Owners can update or delete their account and all linked data at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact our grievance officer below.

Report misuse

If a tag is being used to harass, stalk, or track someone, tell us immediately and we will disable it. Email parampanda55@gmail.com with the tag code (from the page address, e.g. /t/XXXXXXXX).

Important: this is not a 112 replacement

Kavach helps you reach an owner and emergency contacts. It does not dispatch police, ambulance, or fire services and is not connected to any government emergency system. In a real emergency, always call 112 first.
